What Meher Mount Means to Me

Meher Mount is important to me because of its long association with Avatar Meher Baba. That Meher Baba blessed Meher Mount with His visit in 1956 has profound significance for me.
What makes Meher Mount extra special are its natural qualities and beautiful setting – something increasingly rare and precious in Southern California.
Meher Baba specifically singled out those qualities on the day He visited. He encouraged those with Him to go out and love Him through Nature. For me as a nature-lover, as well as a Baba lover, this matters a great deal.
I have been to Meher Mount perhaps a dozen times over the years. On each visit, Meher Baba’s beautiful presence can be felt – with each breeze coming in from the Pacific, with each sweeping view of the Channel Islands and the Topa Topa Bluffs, and with each bird visiting the feeders by the Visitor Center.
