"Moments Filled with Wonder" - Poetry Inspired by the Clouds

Jon Meyer

When Jon and Deborah Meyer visited Meher Mount, it was one of those times when the clouds were so thick on the mountaintop that you could barely see 10 feet ahead of you. It was Deborah’s first visit, and Jon wanted her to see the spectacular 360-degree views as well as visit this Meher Baba place of pilgrimage. "I felt like I was breathing new life, new inspiration with every inhalation."

Perrah Yarborough

That day at Meher Mount in 2007, I felt like I was breathing new life, new inspiration with every inhalation. Yolanda later return to Meher Mount in February 2017 to be a temporary caretaker. "What a privilege it was to be the caretaker of Meher Mount for a few days. It is truly a sacred space. Every time I return from Meher Mount, I am never the same."

"To His Disciples Meher Baba Says..." - A Poem by Mani S. Irani

Margaret Magnus

Mani S. Irani (1918-1996), the sister of Avatar Meher Baba, was His second-closest woman disciple, joining Baba's ashram at the age of thirteen.

In those early years, Meher Baba traveled repeatedly for His work, always with chosen members of the mandali joining Him. The stress of the continual shifting of plans and places, required the mandali to become more detached from the world and to focus on Him.

In response to her life of training and being with Meher Baba, Mani wrote the following poem sometime in the 1940s.
